We had a very similar conversation this morning at summer school during breakfast. Little guy said that only black people go to church and nothing we could say would persuade him that white people go to church too 🙂

That’s hilarious and sad and amazing. Kids blow my mind, which is why I spend so much time around them. In adults ignorance is inexcusable, but amongst kids, it’s there usually because of their parents, and it’s something to explore carefully and understandingly as you guide them and try to open their minds.

We often try to control God and Jesus to be what we think they are. But a Christian is a follower of Christ; Christ doesn’t necessarily follow our beliefs.
