Makes my school life make sense. That’s why the awesome subs rarely come back while the 😕😞subs come so often!

Haha…Ingenious!!! 🙂 Lol…I guess it would suck if after a teacher was out and upon his/her return the students were missing the sub and would rather have him/her there than their regular teacher.

It all makes sense now. I was in 4th grade and we had a sub, she was so mean and strict. Then about a week after our teacher came back I ran into the sub when I was with my mom at the grocery store. She was so friendly, I thought it was an act put on for my mom. LOL 😀

Just for that I would have let the kids watch DVD’s all day.
One time a sub let us watch ‘One Million Years BC’ with Raquel Welch in a fur bikini for a history lesson, and so became a legend.
I’m sure you’re more conscientious than that though

As it turned out, I actually was really mean to them. But they deserved it! And lol to your sub incident!

Really? None of my subs ever followed that advice… they were always super nice… Then again, when the entirety of their task was to start the video player (99% of the time) I guess we didn’t have much to judge them on one way or the other.

Ha! These days we are expected to know the curriculum and teach it. OUTRAGEOUS.

What? How rude. I mean, how could you possibly be expected to know the curriculum and teach it? Both? At the same time? That’s asking way too much.

That’s why I don’t have the guts to sub. Not only do you have to get cred with the kids, you also get hated by the ‘permanent’ teachers lol.
The number of times I’ve heard a teacher come back and blame stuff on the sub. Although some subs do take the Michael. All that work set and they decide to ignore and gain points with students by putting on a video…. but then, the life of a sub….. you’ve obviously got it sussed. You should do a comic series about subbing tips 😉

Subbing is the gig I do. I’ve never had a teacher ask me to be mean but a teacher recently told me her class enjoyed having me. My reply was that I hoped they hadn’t enjoyed it too much.

I’ve got to show this one to my wife. She recently had a teacher tell her the class was asking for my wife, but the teacher didn’t think she was subbing anymore so she told the kids that. Then when my wife told the teacher she was still subbing the teacher said “I guess I’ll have to find another excuse for why you can’t be their sub.” My wife was really confused about what that meant. I think this comic explains it!

It could be that they like your wife BETTER than the regular teacher, and teachers don’t like that!

I like my wife better than the regular teacher. I don’t know who the regular teacher is, of course, but that really doesn’t matter.
I guess for me it would be like if I had someone guest blog and then started getting a bunch of comments about when that person was going to guest blog again. I could see how that wouldn’t be so good for the ol’ ego.
