A daily comic about real stuff little kids say in school. By Matt Gajdoš
Your drawings always crack me up! There are so many times kids say the strangest things in class 🙂
I know! They can’t be explained! And thanks 🙂
Brilliant nonsense! 🙂
This is amazing! Is it unethical to want children just so you can be entertained by the crazy things they say? I hope not;)
Hahaha! They are miniature joke machines!
Baaaa-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha! 😀 Future Kinksters of America, unite!
Pffft, Ahahaha! I know a girl in my English class who would probably say something like this. Kids are such laughs sometimes, haha.
are you a teacher too!
Nope, I’m a high school student. 🙂
kids these days!
I couldn’t agree more! 😀
lol! Today I asked a 5th grade girl to read a paragraph. She refused. I asked why. She said, “It’s not my thing.” !!!
Is that child ‘safe’ Mr G? Maybe a parent/older child just explained something weirdly to them. But you’re not his main teacher right? You wouldn’t be able to monitor if he says other weird things. Sorry I’m just being a suspicious person here :-S
That’s a legitimate question, and you’re not the first person to raise the concern, so I’ll go ahead and address it…
I’ve known this boy for three years and have subbed for his class many times. His teacher is a friend of mine. He is not abused – he has a loving family that takes good care of him. He is autistic and has a gift for gab, and he spins wild yarns of imagination and length as a matter of course. He also has a speech impediment, so I usually understand about 75% of what he’s saying. This comic quote is just a fraction of a long explanation about daydreams, and he didn’t even say “butt” – that’s my change. He said “…a daydream is when you have something in your ____ like a teddy bear or a unique doll.” I didn’t understand the word, so I picked “butt” simply because it’s funny and I have a juvenille sense of humor. It could have been “bed,” or “chest,” or anything really, because none of what he said had anything to do with daydreams. He actually had no idea what a daydream is – I had to teach him after his long and ridiculous explanation. In short, he makes shit up.
Hope that sets your mind at ease 🙂
I’m speechless. That’s like an official report 😛
What the what?
this one totally made me laugh out loud. seriously, endorphins are the biggest perks of being a teacher.
Expect the unexpected. Plan on your plans being disrupted. And WHO KNOWS what your children will say! Lol, thanks!
Even when it is explained to me, I still don’t get it.
