Longtime readers will have noticed the repeated use of the beheaded teddy bear as “the worst possible tragedy.”
Having lived with six mostly older siblings and mostly boys, finding my stuffed animals dismembered as a child was more or less the way of the world, but it clearly burned a deep scar in my subconscious.
